Maggie's Birthday Wish : 33 for 33
Organized by: Maggie Beckley
EVENT DATE Nov 26, 2016
Why I'm Doing This:
I am so blessed to see another year...33! I'm so incredibly blessed by all of the love, support and encouragement you all show me throughout the year and to truly be in a place where I'm certain about what I'm passionate about and pursuing/supporting those things. For those that truly know me, you know that I'm passionate about youth, education and my community. And this year I am honored to be the chair of the 43rd Annual Pauline Redmond Coggs (PRC) Foundation Debutante Cotillion. For the past 43 years, the PRC has contributed to the positve growth of over 800 young women in the city of Milwaukee that have gone on to make a significant impact at the local, national and global level.
My Invitation to You:
In lieu of meals, drinks, parties, gifts, etc to celebrate my birthday, I would be humbled and grateful if you donated instead to my 33 for 33 birthday campaign to support this year's Debutante Cotillion. My birthday wish is to raise a minimum net total of $3,300. How amazing would it be to surpass that goal and more! All funds raised will go directly toward scholarships for our 27 amazing 2016 Debutantes and contributions to 10 organizations doing great work in the Milwaukee community. (update on the organizations coming soon)
No donation is too small and I will be raising funds until November 26th :) Thank you in advance for helping me celebrate and by fulfilling my birthday wish!
The Debutante cotillion is an initiative to introduce young girls to a life of service with class, grace, and sophistication and to provide scholarships and promote community service, volunteerism and education.
The Pauline Redmond Coggs Foundation (501c3) was established in 1999 by the Epsilon Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, for charitable, educational and community services. It serves as a vehicle for accepting, raising, distributing and investing funds for scholarships and awards to students; to establish on-going educational programs and for charitable donations and community projects.
