When my little brother Ryan was 20 months old he was diagnosed with an optic pathway glioma brain tumor, he then lost his sight at 22 months. He went through 15 months of chemotherapy and was stable. Last June he was diagnosed with a tumor in the left temporal lobe. The new tumor is now gone and he is done with chemotherapy. In 2006 (10 months after he was diagnosed) we went to our first Camp Sunshine Brain Tumor session. When you first walk through the three yellow doors in the from and see everybody's smiling faces it is a great feeling. At camp sunshine we met other kids in our age group and did fun things like, cookie decorating, arts & crafts, swimming etc. Our family has met so many amazing people at Camp Sunshine, many who have become part of our family. This is my first year running into the atlantic to raise money for Camp Sunshine and hopefully not my last. Please help me give back to camp by supporting my plunge! Thank you!
