My goal is to assist my daughter in raising $5000 for the #MakeYourGreenCount Plumpy'Nut Challenge. My daughter, Kylie Rice, a senior PR major at URI, has been actively promoting and supporting this campaign for Rhode Island's local non-profit, Edesia. Edesia reaches 80,000 malnourished children around the world each year by producing and distributing Plumpy'Nut,a fortified, peanut based, ready-to-use miracle food. Plumpy'Nut is hailed has a miracle food because of it's ability to revitalize a child in just 7 weeks. The challenge is simple: donate $5 or more and challenge 10 others to do the same. Together, you will have donated $55 - the cost of one lifesaving treatment of Plumpy'Nut.
It's that simple. One box. One life.

University of Rhode Island students are working to raise thousands by St. Patrick’s Day 2015 to help nonprofit Edesia reach more starving children worldwide by making more Plumpy’Nut in their Providence, R.I. factory for their humanitarian partners such as UNICEF and USAID. Plumpy'Nut is fortified, peanut-based, and ready-to-use. It’s hailed as a “miracle food” for its ability to save a life in just 7 weeks.
So make your green count! Donate $5 by 3.17.15 and challenge 10 friends to do the same for a total of $55, the cost of one box of Plumpy’Nut, a full lifesaving treatment. One box, one life. It’s that simple.
