Founded in 1990, CHIP of Virginia is a public private partnership and 501 (c)3 organization which receives broad support from both the public and private sectors. In FY15, the Virginia General Assembly allocated $2,232,946. CHIP leveraged $4,855, 015 from other public and private sources to serve 2,846 families; 3,846 children and 484 pregnant women. CHIP of Virginia is a statewide organization that coordinates a network of 10 regional CHIP and PAT (Parents as Teachers) programs in 34 Virginia communities. CHIP of Virginia is the linchpin for training, innovation, funding, evaluation and accountablity.
