BENEFITING: SKIP of NY
When I moved to New York four years ago my first job in the city was working as a Case Manager at SKIP. I immediately fell in love with the organization's mission when I learned they help sick kids stay home to receive their care. I feel honored to have had the opportunity to work with these amazing families. Getting to know them all and sometimes having to be their shoulder to lean on made me feel like the work my colleagues and I were doing was so valuable. It was difficult to work with families in unfortunate situations but it was rewarding to see that majority of the kids we worked with had shown significant improvements to their health with our help of securing adequate services. SKIP will always be a special organization to me because I was able to be a part of their team and truly see the difference they made.
