Authorities say 2,357 people have been confirmed dead, a figure that is expected to rise, perhaps significantly, when information is collected from other areas of the disaster zone.
People's lives have been devastated. People have lost their homes and their loved ones.
The authorities report the air is thick with the stench of decay as sweating workers lower plastic coffins, one by one, into a grave the size of an Olympic swimming pool.
This is what people are dealing with right now. A mass burial with scores of unidentified bodies being interred together without any ritual — We cannot let this happen!
