I'm sure you've heard of the recent idea of "Maker Spaces." They are becoming very popular and they are a great idea, except for one major flaw. These "Spaces" are Membership-based, and rely on the Membership fees/dues to pay for the various expenses of providing the space and equipment they have available.
What if we approach this from another angle.
It has been our dream to find a facility through which I could not only expand our business, but more importantly give us the space and opportunity to SHARE with others.
We are extremely excited to announce that we have found the facility and are currently working towards that purchase. What comes next is where you come in.
As with any purchase of real estate, we have several improvements and such that need to take place. We will be maximizing this space as much as we can, and we would love to have you join us in our efforts. We will be upgrading many aspects of the facility including the electrical and utilities, improving the accessibility (ramps and elevator), and other cosmetic/structural maintenance (exterior paint and landscaping).
We will then focus on providing the necessary fixtures for classes and maker spaces, as well as the upcoming apprenticeships. This will include Construction of individual "Maker Spaces" (to provide an individual work space and storage for our makers), Work benches and equipment for the classes, maker spaces and apprenticeships as well as some tools and other equipment (in the effort of offering the best equipment and most unique experience possible.)
It is our goal to reach as many people as we can in our efforts to share our "Passion of Making Stuff" - and your support goes a LONG way towards helping us. We are extremely excited to see the growth of creative expression and we are so thankful to share it all with you along the way!!
