BENEFITING: MALARIA NO MORE
ORGANIZER: MALARIA NO MORE
EVENT DATE: Nov 04, 2012
This race will be dedicated to the memory of our little girl, who would have been just over One at the time of the Marathon and I'm running in support of a great organization, Malaria No More.
A child under age 5 dies from malaria - a preventable and treatable disease - every minute, but we're racing to change that in the ING New York City Marathon 2012. Malaria No More is an official NY Road Runners Charity Partner, and you can help make malaria no more by joining our team or spreading the word today. Visit MalariaNoMore.org/marathon or contact Richard@MalariaNoMore.org.
The ING New York City Marathon is the world’s largest full marathon — with nearly 40,000 runners from 125 countries — and one of the five "World Marathon Majors." Last year, Team MNM had runners travel from across the country and around the world, including from Senegal, Hong Kong and Australia, and raised nearly $150,000 to support our programs in Africa.
