THE STORY:

Malaria kills over 600,000 people a year with the vast majority of the deaths occurring in kids under the age of 5. The tragedy is that malaria is both preventable and treatable -- well established, cost effective approaches are available that could prevent a majority of these deaths.

The good news is that great progress has been made in recent years in tackling malaria deaths.  Thanks to global efforts to tackle malaria, the death rate has dropped by more than 33% in Africa since 2000.  Excellent organizations such as Malaria No More are helping to continue this battle to completely eliminate malaria deaths in Africa.

I'm running in this year's NYC half marathon in support of Malaria No More. Please help by making a contribution, no matter how small.

Thanks!

Brendan
