THE STORY:

Malta children's Home Uganda is a pro-life giving ministry whose mission and mandate is to uphold the sanctity of human life and endeavoring to meet the physical, spiritual and emotional needs to the HIV/AIDS orphans and widows facing welfare problems.(Extending the fatherhood love of God to the fatherless) Our aim is to reach all kinds and depths of HIV/AIDS afflicted people in both rural and urban communities through various means especially the teaching of the love and virtue of Jesus Christ. We are not fully registered Not for Profit Organization and derive our support from the invaluable services of volunteers and other Christian resources helping us to get to horizons and societies that can not be easily reached by the average human.(Registration is in process) We have many projects and visions you should know about and so we encourage you to navigate through pages and we pray you can find how to bless a life today. Malta children's Home, here and after abbreviated as MCH, is an independent non-profit indigenous church-based charitable organization. The organization was started in 2014 by Natocho Ritah and her Husband, to try and stop the tide of orphaning in particular, and the spread of HIV/AIDS in general, these two factors having been the most frequent situations the church members would turn up for counseling and prayer about. Soon the intended boundaries were found to be outstripped by demand, as the need for services was growing at a speed so terrific, in an area so wide than the resources, physical, financial and human, could handle. In light of this, and in expectation of the future, owing partly to unending spread of AIDS and partly to increasing abject poverty, MCH will upgraded to a non- governmental organization from a small community based organization. So from 2014, MCH is a fully fledged independent organization with headquarters at Kasolwe, 45 kilometers from Kamuli, a town in eastern Uganda, about six hours away from Kampala the capital of Uganda. Malta Children Home Volunteer Information There are opportunities in all aspects of MCH's operations. Anyone with a heart to reach out and serve orphans and widows in Africa will find exciting projects to bring God's love to these deserving people. Construction workers, painters, administrators, managers, evangelist - your time and skills will be put to great use! Malta children's Home We need partnership with any party or organisation to provide funding and opportunities to build a home to accommodate children who have lost their parents to AIDS and have not been placed with foster families. Groups or individuals with engineering, plumbing, construction, carpentry, or electrical skills will be needed. We hope to initiate Malta Integrated School As with any school, volunteer opportunities abound. Those interested in tutoring of just enjoying and playing with the children would be welcome. Qualified teachers will be particularly needed to work with local teachers. Basic school supplies will always be needed and are appreciated. Administration Administrative areas such as the Child Welfare Department who is responsible for home visits and school evaluation visits. The HIV/AIDS Department is responsible for processing HIV screenings and counseling. Basically now we looking at two major factors of having all kids in school and getting a permanent property to set up up a permanent orphanage for the kids to live in.we have 100 kids registered with us and 52 kids are in the orphanage and the 48 in foster homes .We need $5500 for school fees and supplies per term. A term has 3 months and in the year we have 3 terms so we need $16500 for the whole year. We need a property of of 10 acres where we can have buildings ,play ground ,have a garden ,water source ,and a school ,together with a farm and some to do other projects .like poultry which can help to have a fresh egg for each child before they go to school. An Acre of land costs $3500 so we need $35000 for the 10 acres of land . Total project cost is US$57,000.
