EVENT DATE: Aug 09, 2014

THE STORY:

Dear friends and family,

As you may know, in 2013 we lost one of our closest friends, Gregory Aguirre.  We struggle to describe him adequately - he was witty, warm, handsome, and thoughtful, with a once-in-a-lifetime charm and an old soul.  Over the years he has listened, joked, consoled, and advised us through every matter of life and love. In his memory we encourage you to donate to one of the causes below:

  • We recognize that we are extraordinarily fortunate to have the opportunity to celebrate our wedding with you, while many LGBT individuals around the country and world continue to face serious obstacles to the full, meaningful recognition of their rights and freedoms.  In support of protections for the individual and familial rights of LGBT people, we encourage you to donate to the National Center for Lesbian Rights, a legal advocacy organization dedicated to civil rights impact litigation benefiting the entire LGBT community in various parts of the country (and M's former employer).

  • For the Muscular Dystrophy Association, in support of the development of improved treatments and potential cures, providing access to adequate healthcare, and improved quality of life for individuals with neuromuscular disease.

Thank you, as always, for your love and support.

Susan and M'Alyssa
