The Bring Home the Bacon Race is Camp Rap-A-Hope's most unique fundraiser, totally driven by volunteers! Sprung from the idea of a 30 year anniversary celebration and the Camp staff's love for BACON, it is our innovative way of involving counselors and sponsors (old and new) in spreading the spirit of Camp.
CAMP RAP-A-Hope is an organization that provides year-long programming and a week-long summer camp to children between the ages of 7 and 17 who have, or have ever had, cancer. Most of our campers come from communities along more than 300 miles of the central Gulf Coast; from the Florida panhandle to the Louisiana Texas border. All of our programs are provided absolutely free of charge, because cancer is costly enough! We are 100% funded through generous corporate and individual donors and fundraisers, like this one.
Although I have only been involved with Camp Rap-A-Hope for a short time, I am humbled by every day by the children I meet. who are so courageously fighting this terrible disease. My goal is to raise $500, which will send one child to camp. Please help me provide them this opportunity to take a break from their struggles and to laugh, play and just have fun.
