Hey everyone! Welcome to my Crowdrise page! I am super excited to be a part of this awesome organization that it working to help empower women in Nepal. Edge of Seven is the organization looking to build a community center in Nepal to educate and empower disadvantaged women. When my friend Kevin told me about this cause I knew that it was something that would be a great accomplishment that could be so easily done. And so I joined WE3 at the University of Delaware to help raise money for this cause.
The Mankhu Center for Women in Nepal is projected to be a learning center for women who are living in great poverty, out of place and out of mind of their own government and most charitable organizations. In many cultures, women are the foundation of the household and the community, driving the health and wellness of its children. Empowering women around the world is one of the many steps we can take to better the societies in impovershed regions around the world. Every little bit helps.
Thanks everyone for your time and consideration. Much love,

This semester, along with many other of my phenomenal University of Delaware friends, I am helping to sponsor the construction of a community center in Mankhu, Nepal for displaced and marginalized women.
My past volunteer experiences in Nepal in 2010 and 2011 exposed to me stagnant poverty at its most extreme. I met and spoke to mothers, who all together, had zero years of education and simply wished for better for their own children.
Their situation, common throughout the world, goes beyond broken school systems, deeper than one's internal drive to succeed, and is more basic than most of us can imagine. These women lack in their lives the existence of opportunity; and the construction of this community center will change that. The earth-bag build center will provide a space for vocational and health training to women and give them a chance to break out of the deepest poverty.
I am deeply passionate about empowering those on the margins of society. I hope that you will join me.
