Since working in Maplat we have made huge strides. We have accomplished the building of the property wall, enclosing the perimeters making things much easier now for security and storage. In order to serve the people of Maplat the best, we need to move on to the next stage. We need these 6 temporary houses built to act as a bridge until the mission center is to be started and completed. Each house will serve a purpose. Two of them will be used as a medical clinic and pharmacy for the healthcare that is provided. With these houses in place we can assure the locals that they will receive daily medical care rather than monthly which is currently offered. Four more houses will be used for team housing. Working with mission teams to come and help serve the people is vital to the progress of this mission. But with no place for them to sleep safely it is another necessity to build these temporary houses to ensure their safety and to have a roof over their heads. Each house costs around $1,300 USD to build. The amazing part is that a crew of young Haitian adults have been trained and have already built 2 of these houses for us in the past. Once the donations are received the volunteer crew will step in and build the houses. Will you consider sponsoring to build a house? Half a house? We appreciate your interest and hope that you can help us continue our efforts to bring hope and a new life to the locals of this needy community.
