Maple Street School Class Challenge - Growing Together
DEADLINE TO GIVE: Dec 20, 2016
Maple Street School is a diverse, progressive, inclusive, and loving cooperative preschool that serves children aged 2-5 years old.
It is a place where children undertake the very important work of play, and where they are honored, nurtured, and loved. The parents, caregivers, and extended families of Maple Street children are also invited into a vibrant, supportive, and activist community, committed to social justice and equality for all.
Maple Street lives these values by raising money for tuition assistance every year. This money goes directly to low-income families who need it, ensuring that the school remains open to everyone and fully diverse.
Maple Street loves and supports children from all cultures, from all races, from all socio-economic backgrounds, with all kinds of gender expression. Maple Street loves and supports children who have special needs. The teachers and support staff at Maple Street bring their wisdom, humor, laughter, songs, and culture to school with them every day to make sure that every single child at the school gets one very important message: YOU COUNT.
Maple Street’s vision is to be part of creating a society permeated by these same joyful and loving values. As part of this mission, the school has recently undertaken its biggest ever expansion by adding a new location and doubling in size. Maple Street was created in the living rooms of local parents in 1978, with just a small group of children. Now, we serve over 150 families.
Your contributions to this CrowdRise campaign go directly to Maple Street’s capital campaign, which helps us pay off the loan that funded the new school. That keeps tuition stable while ensuring that Maple Street remains secure, diverse, and inclusive. And it also means that your contributions are part of the play and love revolution that is at the heart of the school’s culture. Thank you. We couldn’t do this without you.
Your donation through CrowdRise is 100% tax-deductible. You'll automatically receive an email receipt that meets the IRS requirements for a record of your donation.
Matching gifts are a great way to double or even triple the impact of your donation. Ask your employer's personnel or human resources department for matching gift instructions.
