Two really important things to me are dogs and running. I am training to run the Richmond marathon in November for Kiza.
Recently, my best friend Kiza passed away (my very loved daschund who shared the same passions of running, eating, and sleeping with me). When she suddenly got sick with congestive heart failure, the medicine and stay at the hospital cost around $4,000. We were fortunate enough to be able to give her all the possible treatments available. I want to be able to help other owners who don't have the means to help their dogs with this treatment.
All the money raised from this run will be donated to AMC (Animal Medical Center in NYC) to help dogs get the treatment they need for congestive heart failure. This is the hospital Kiza was treated at. I have talked to representatives at AMC who have enabled me to set up an account specifically for raising money for congestive heart failure. My goal right now is to raise $500 dollars and hope to be able to raise it as time goes on. This donation will be under Kiza's name. Thank you- this means the world to me!!
