BENEFITING: One Fund Boston
EVENT DATE: Nov 03, 2013
I've decided that simply training, competing, and finishing the 2013 ING NYC Marathon because of guaranteed entry due to last years cancellation isn't enough. I am a daily reminder to myself of the forceful and fateful events that took place at New York City's and Boston's Marathons over this past year and sitting by the sidelines while others make a difference simply isn't who I want to be.
Running for fun is one thing, but running for a purpose places such drive behind a person and truly changes the meaning of the sport. I got into running because of the amazing spirit and selfless acts contributed by each runner I've had the pleasure of meeting and I'm now mentally challenging myself for the next 26 days while physically completing the fifth and final month of training.
I am attempting to raise $100/day for the next 26 days and split the funding between The Boston One Fund and Sandy Relief efforts. Plain and simple, I NEED YOUR HELP!
Now, ask yourself: What kind of person do you want to be? :)
Thank you ALL in advance for your donation, we're changing lives!
