By encouraging physcial activity and fun, we hope to raise money for PTO-hosted activities and programs including: field trips, field days, assemblies, a teacher-support fund, 6th grade team building and graduation photo, and special needs and projects. Prior year funds were used to purchased school items such as musical instruments, a pottery kiln, microscopes, Centennial risers, and part of the MAE climbing wall! The Mars PTO also coordinates all holiday parties, teacher appreciation luncheons, Box Tops collections, spirit wear sales, a Scholastic book fair, holiday stores, and creates the yearbooks.
Prize levels are as follows and are stacked: Raise $10 and earn a bandana, $30 you are done fundraising for the school year, $40 is an event t-shirt, $75 a Mars water bottle, $150 is a cinch sack, and $300 is a Mars spiritwear hoodie. ALL STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE A STATEMENT BAND ON THE DAY OF THE WALK!! Whoohoo! Please note that only the statement bands, bandanas, and t-shirts will be available on event day.
We can't do all this without your help! Thank you for supporting our students' good health and great minds!
*For one contribution to multiple children, the money will be divided evenly among the walkers unless otherwise noted in the Comment box. If no student is designated in the Comment box, then your walker will not receive credit for your donation.
