Maria Carolina Petit Injury Fund
Organized by: Kent Emerick
Hi friends and family of Carolina, We are writing with an update regarding Carolina. As many of you know, Carolina was in a terrible work accident in January, requiring several surgeries on her head/scalp. Prior to the accident, Carolina was a very hard worker (she had 4 part-time jobs at the time of the accident). Since the accident, she has been unable to work. She does not have health insurance so she has to rely upon workers’ compensation benefits, which have not yet been approved. As a result, she has been unable to get the skin graft surgery she is so desperately in need of. She will continue to be in a lot of pain until she can have the surgery. We are hoping her workers’ compensation claim is approved soon so she can have the surgery. In the meantime, the funds that were so graciously donated by all of you are running very low and she has to move out of the carriage house where she is current living by July 15th. We would greatly appreciate it if you would consider making another donation to Carolina and her daughter Rita at this time. We are hopeful that she will not need any further donations once she has the surgery and can return to work. Thank you so much.
