I am honored to be running the Falmouth Road Race as a member of Team May because it brings together two things that are very important to me. Falmouth has become a special place to me over the past few years. I have participated in the Falmouth Sprint Triathlon twice and have watched the Falmouth Road Race for the past to years. The Nobska Lighthouse on the Falmouth Road Race route has become one of my favorite places and I got engaged there last summer. I knew that I wanted to run in the race at some point, but I wanted to find a cause that I was passionate about. I have found that through working at the May Institute. I have learned so much from the children I work with and I want to give back to them. I am running for them in the hope that I can raise awareness and encourage others to show their support for children with developmental disabilities. I am proud to be fundraising for a school that appreciates the individuality of every student and strives to help each child reach their potential. I encourage you to play a part in providing the resources necessary for these children to achieve success in multiple areas of their lives. My hope is for the world to see children with autism as having unlimited potential and capable of making significant contributions to society.
