I am honored to be selected as one of the charity runners for the 2015 Boston Marathon to support Boston Children’s Museum. I have worked at Boston Children’s Museum since 2007 as the Facilities Director, responsible for the Facilities/Property Management of the museum and building. I have run many road races and completed my first half marathon in December 2014. This will be my first marathon and I can’t think of a better way to support such a wonderful organization.

As a non-profit organization, my goal and hope is to help the Museum raise the funding needed to support the many programs and activities for the children and families that visit the Museum. As a major cultural institution in Boston it is important to continue the work and mission of the Museum for the future of children and our communities. The Museum provides a very engaging environment for children and families to participate and explore. It is a place that they are able to interact with each other and learn and grow in a very special way. Continuing this special work is very important to me.

On a personal note, I am originally from Denver, Colorado and moved to Massachusetts in 1994. I am married and have two wonderful children, ages 7 and 5 years old. Both children are very active in their academics and sports. This year they are playing hockey together so we spend most of our weekends in hockey rinks. I am blessed to have such a supportive family; they are all so excited to support me on my first marathon journey.
