BENEFITING: ADIRONDACK THEATRE FESTIVAL INC
With my birthday approaching on Saturday I have been giving thought to the choices I have made in my life -- some not so good and others pretty darn great. One outstanding choice I made was coming to Adirondack Theatre Festival in Glens Falls, NY. This amazing, small, but mighty theatre company is truly unique among summer theatres: from its artists, to its audience, to the material on stage. This is a theatre that prides itself on starting conversations -- even difficult ones. And it is committed to hiring the best artists, technicians and administrators who can deliver the goods for a very engaged and deserving audience. All in a town of just 14,500 people.
Yes, running ATF is my job, but it is really my artistic home (and let's face it there are much easier ways to make a living). As I turn 44, I find myself reconfirming my commitment to the path I chose and this theatre and community. I want nothing more than to insure that this great place continues to offer thought provoking, high-quality professional theatre. If you are so inclined -- if ATF has brought you joy, fulfillment and/or great theatre, please consider donating to this birthday wish.
