For the past 2 years the dZi foundation has partnered with a group of cyclists from Studio Velo to field the dZi Foundation/Endless Ascent Team for three days of “racing for good” at the Trois Etapes Pro-Am Charity Race in the French Pyrenees. This year dZi has approached Marmot, a long-time partner and supporter, to recruit a possible participant. As a passionate cyclist and dZi supporter, and I’m honored to be joining this group of dedicated cyclists from August 8-10th, 2014 as we race to raise funds and awareness for dZi.
About Trois Etapes: For the cyclist this is the ultimate competitive pro-am cycling experience, designed to give riders the chance to experience team cycling under race conditions, with the full support that a Pro would have in a Grand Tour. This year’s event is from August 8-10th and climbs three mountain roads famous for often being part of the Tour de France… the Col d’Aubisque, Col du Tourmalet, and Col du Soulor.

The dZi Foundation partners with under served communities in remote regions of the Himalaya to build sustainable locally-driven programs that improve quality of life through advancing education and health while reducing poverty. In depth information about the dZi Foundation and their programs can be found at: http://www.dzifoundation.org/
I’m doing this because I believe in the dZi Foundation's unique model of developing partnerships with the communities that they serve. The funds I raise will go directly to dZi’s general operating fund to support their programs, which include building schools, toilets, bridges, water systems and agriculture initiatives. I’m excited and honored to have the opportunity to be more directly involved with dZi and hope that you will consider making a contribution.
