While her husband was away at military training, Lesli Delgado gave birth to her daughter, Jasmine, a full 16 weeks early, leaving both mother and daughter fighting for their lives. As Lesli recovered from her own medical crisis, her 1 pound, 2 ounce baby required constant care at Marshfield Children's Hospital. During this time, the Delgado family found a loving second home at Ronald McDonald House for 133 days. While Jasmine healed, the community at Ronald McDonald House embraced Lesli and her two young daughters, offering support, understanding and stability during a time of excruciating uncertainty. For Lesli, the House has truly become "home." As Lesli said: "When our life came to a halt, our family could have been divided. The House let us create new memories together." Lesli and her family join more than 400 families who will stay at Ronald McDonald House of Marshfield this year. Like them, each guest will be warmly welcomed into a loving community and have a comfortable place to stay for free while their child heals and grows. Help us provide 24/7 hugs. I would like to ask for your support as a donor of the 34th annual Cranberry Bike Tour Charity Event to be held Sunday, September 17, 2017. As one of our signature events, funds raised during the Cranberry Bike Tour provide critical support for our mission of keeping families close. Since 1983, Ronald McDonald House Charities has provided housing for more than 10,000 families from all over the upper Midwest and beyond. As well as raising money to further the mission of RMHC, more than 150 bikers and supporters from across the Midwest will enjoy a 20, 40, 64 or 100 mile bike route through central Wisconsin beginning and ending at the UW-Marshfield Fine Arts Building. Through your generous donation, you will be joining numerous businesses and individuals whose donations, sponsorship and in-kind contributions support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Marshfield. Thank you for helping to keep families close to their sick child.
