BENEFITING: Water For People
I have created this memorial fund in memory of my beloved wife Martha Jean Hahn. Martha's life's work was dedicated to the science and engineering of water reclamation, treatment, and sanitation. She understood the importance of reclaiming our precious and limited water resources and giving them back to the environment in a way that is safe for people and wildlife. She devoted her life to this work and research in this field. Martha was the Authority Manager at Plum Creek Water Reclamation Authority in Castle Rock, CO and a PhD candidate in Environmental Science and Engineering at Colorado School of Mines in Golden , CO. The proceeds of Martha's memorial fund will be donated to Water For People. Water For People is an international non-profit working across 9 countries to bring safe water and sanitation to 4 million people. Water For People believes that it isn't just about building wells, installing toilets, and setting up pumps, they are looking to create long-lasting water and sanitation infrastructure by talking to local community members, governments, and business owners, to find out how they live and what they need to feel healthy, safe, empowered, and successful. They are designing solutions based off of long-term needs and long lives. Martha believed deeply in the importance of the work being done around the world by Water For People. Please donate in her memory.
