Twenty-five years ago, when PHA was first organized, the diagnosis of pulmonay hypertension meant a life expectancy of two years or less. Thanks to research and development of new medications people are survviving for a long time with this disease. Discovery of causes of PH may help reduce the number of patients afflicted, and the development of new drugs may make lives better for all the patients. New medications that are approved for children are an essential goal of research, as this disease may devilop in infancy, and there is no known cure at this time. I want to contribute to the research being done for the sake of all oof us and the new patients yet to be diagnossed.
