BENEFITING: St. Margaret Foundation
EVENT DATE: May 15, 2016
My father is a patient of Dr. Peter Ellis at St. Margaret and my whole family is most appreciative of the consideration he and his team give my dad. We are running in honor of my dad and his courage in knowing that cancer does not define him. He used to tell me, "I am a man dying of cancer." And I tell him, "No dad, you are a man living with cancer." We are grateful for every day we have with my dad because of the trusted healthcare providers he has at St. Margaret. He is able to get on with enjoying and living life. My dad is fortunate to have good health insurance. But many patients are not as fortunate.
Please support the people served by St. Margaret Foundation who are struggling with some of the biggest challenges of their lives. Help the Foundation fill in the gaps with hope with transporting patients free to chemotherapy and other life-saving treatments, medication, insulin, walkers, hearing aids, orthotic shoes, blood pressure cuffs, special glasses, canes, and much more.
Please help the under-resourced patients in our community. In the words of Rod Rutkowski, Director of Health Management at St. Margaret, "We have patients who are willing to gamble with their life so that they can feed their family. And it can end up costing them their ability to breathe on their own, their vision, their independence and ultimately their life."
Your donation changes lives. Please help change a life and sponsor Arnie and my participation in the St. Margaret Foundation 5K in honor of my dad. Thank you.
