Mary's Road to India
Organized by: Mary Stygles
Myself and two other GlobeMed staff members (Sophia Wang and Cece Chu) will be traveling to Tamil Nadu, India to intern with CORD Siruvani, a grass-roots non-profit that improves social and health equity in the region through programs on waste segregation, clinical health and sanitation, rehabilitation, and female empowerment. These people are superheroes, and I am so excited for the opportunity work with them.
Public health is something I'm incredibly passionate about, and this internship is the opportunity of a lifetime. I need your help to get there! My budget is $3000 (!!!) and my internship will span from late July to late August.

"If travel is like love, it is, in the end, mostly because it’s a heightened state of awareness, in which we are mindful, receptive, undimmed by familiarity and ready to be transformed. That is why the best trips, like the best love affairs, never really end.”
