EVENT: Get Your Rear in Gear Savannah 5K Run/Walk

EVENT DATE: Mar 02, 2013

THE STORY:

The Get Your Rear in Gear events focus on raising awareness about colon cancer in communities across the country. They are events designed to unite people, cities and states throughout the USA; to provide support and hope for those who have had their lives affected by our nation’s second leading cause of cancer deaths, and to encourage individuals of all ages to get screened.

I am very excited to participate in my first 5K on March 2nd. I am walking in honor of my dear friend's mother, Mary Crovatt, who was diagnosed with cancer this month and also in honor of my sister, Brenda, who is a colon cancer survivor. Every donation made helps us get one step closer to kicking cancer's butt! Please take the time to educate yourself on colon cancer, get screened, and donate if you can. Every donation helps and is greatly appreciated!
