Mason Brown Foundation
Organized by: Mason Brown Foundation
Mason Brown Foundation (MBF) was founded in honor of our late son, Mason Brown Amiri, who was stillborn at 37 weeks gestation in January 2014. Through our difficulties and healing, we decided that the best way to honor him was to help support other families who, like us, are mourning the loss of a child. Additionally, we hope to support families in need of medical attention so that they may never have to go through the loss of a child.
Today, MBF represents our collective efforts towards fundraising and building awareness for programs that support families who suffered the loss of a child (whether it be from stillbirth, miscarriage, or later in life) as well as those in need of emotional and financial support for the medical treatment that their children undertake. When we are not fundraising, we give back through volunteering with our partner organizations to provide support and counseling for families in need.
Some examples of the various ways we give back include:
- Donating picture frames, memory boxes, foot print molds, and other keepsake items
- Preparing and delivering care baskets to families during the most stressful time of their loss
- Assisting hospitals in the establishment and improvement of perinatal bereavement programs
- Hosting virtual support groups for families to connect and support one another
While we are not a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we do partner with specific charities that we share a common vision with and provide 100% of funds we raise through MBF as direct donations to these organizations.
By honoring Mason's memory, we give his short life profound meaning while helping others in need.
