EVENT: Marine Corps Marathon 2016
On October 30, I will lace my running shoes to participate in the 41st Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) on behalf of Mass Fallen Heroes (MFH). It is a true honor to have been selected to run as a charity runner for Mass Fallen Heroes.
Mass Fallen Heroes memorializes our fallen by creating a permanent public tribute and provide advocacy services for local veterans and families of fallen serving in the global war of terrorism since 2001.
My why(s) of running for MFH:
1) In honor of my three NYC firemen brother-in-laws, who were first responders on September 11, 2001. All three were affected very differently on 9/11; but one thing each of them did and continue to do is support the men and women of NYC (and beyond) following the Twin Tower attacks. They are my heroes!!!
2) For my dear friend, Eric Kelly and his family, who served and currently serve in the Marines. Eric has fought many battles in his lifetime (in the Marines and out). He is a hero to SO many, especially the Andruzzi family.
Mass Fallen Heroes makes a statement on this video.
"Poor is the nation that has no heroes. Shameful is the nation that having them forgets."
Please support me on my MCM journey and make a donation TODAY that will show how proud you are to live in a nation who honors and remembers our heroes.
