BENEFITING: MASSACHUSETTS GENERAL HOSPITAL
ORGANIZER: MASSACHUSETTS GENERAL HOSPITAL
EVENT: 2015 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 20, 2015
Dear Friends and Family,
I am extremely honored to have been chosen as a member of Massachusetts General Hospital's Fighting Kids' Cancer...One Step at a Time Marathon Team! Come April 20th, I will be running in the 119th Boston Marathon in order to raise money for the support of pediatric cancer research and patient care programs at the MGH for Children Cancer Center.
As many of you know, much of the research and clinical work I do at the Psychology Assessment Center is with children with brain and central nervous system tumors. Working with these brave children has been an absolutely incredible experience, and I can't think of a better way to give back to the children and families that have given me so much. Compared to the struggle these children go through, training through the winter to run 26.2 miles is nothing!
I hope you will join me in support of my goal of raising $10,000 for this very special program that is near and dear to my heart! Your donation, and all funds raised by the MGH Marathon Team, will go directly to the MGH for Children Cancer Center and help support clinical and laboratory research in childhood cancer, as well as supportive care programs including wellness serves, support groups, and child life specialists who help patients patients cope with illness and treatment.
Thank you all so much for your support and encouragement! Together we can make a difference in the lives of these kids and one day find a cure for childhood cancer!
