BENEFITING: MASSACHUSETTS GENERAL HOSPITAL
ORGANIZER: MASSACHUSETTS GENERAL HOSPITAL
EVENT: 2015 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 20, 2015
I am so excited and honored to be a part of the Massachusetts General Hospital Pediatric Hematology & Oncology Team, Fighting Kids' Cancer...One Step at a Time to run the 2015 Boston Marathon! As a member of this team, I am raising money to support pediatric cancer research and patient care programs at the Massachusetts General Hospital for Children (MGHfC).
I have been training very hard for this race, but I can't succeed alone! I need your help to reach my fundraising goal of $5,000. I am counting on the support of my family and friends to help me finish the race and help fight childhood cancer.
The funds I will raise go directly to the MGHfC cancer center and help support clinical and laboratory research in childhood cancer, as well as supportive care programs including: wellness services like art and music therapy; parent, teen and sibling support groups; and child life specialists who help patients cope with illness and treatment. These children inspire us to run 26.2 miles, and we need to inspire them in return.
As an occupational therapy student at Boston University, I value the importance of all individuals participating the activities they love and achieving a high quality of life. Throughout my journey in OT school, I have found a passion in working with children, and I aspire to work in pediatric oncology after graduation. I hope to help children diagnosed with cancer continue doing the things they love.
With my passion, training, and the support of all of you, I hope to finish the marathon strong and exceed my fundrasing goal!
Please consider supporting me in my fundraising goal of $5,000! Help me make a difference in the lives of children receiving treatment through MGHfC Cancer Center.
