BENEFITING: MASSACHUSETTS GENERAL HOSPITAL
ORGANIZER: MASSACHUSETTS GENERAL HOSPITAL
EVENT: 2015 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 20, 2015
Tommy and I met in the seventh grade and grew up on the north shore. We got married this past July and currently live in Medford. I am a pediatric nurse on Ellison 17 MGHfC, and Tommy is a football coach at Tufts University. We love that both of our careers have the potential to make a positive impact on future generations.
Tommy and I feel so blessed to have had such an amazing 2014, and now in 2015 we want to give back in a way that is very important to us. We are so excited to be running the BOSTON MARATHON as members of the MGHfC Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Marathon Team.
As a pediatric nurse, I see the obstacles that these children and their families are faced with during their years of treatment. They are forced to deal with physical, mental, emotional, and financial challenges that no person should ever have to face. Tommy and I feel very honored to have the opportunity to raise awareness of what these families are going through and to provide the support and help they deserve.
We are ready to tackle the difficult training ahead of us, but we need your help. Our goal is to raise $15,000 for this amazing cause, in hopes of making a little difference in the lives of these little people. Any donation is more than appreciated.
Your support will be a constant reminder of this amazing as we continue our marathon preparation this winter. Thank you!
