BENEFITING: MASSACHUSETTS GENERAL HOSPITAL
ORGANIZER: MASSACHUSETTS GENERAL HOSPITAL
EVENT: 2015 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 20, 2015
In April, I will once again be running the Boston Marathon as a member of the Mass General Hospital Marathon team, supporting the Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Mass General Hospital for Children (MGHfC). This will be my third time running as a member of the MGH team as a way to thank the incredible doctors and nurses that cared for my mother, Phyllis Masi, during her stay at MGH.
I will be running the Marathon in her memory and in the memory or honor of many family members and friends that have been affected by cancer. I am proud to be able to run as a member of the MGHfC Pediatric Cancer Team, raising funds for cancer care and research initiatives that enhance the quality of life for the hospital’s youngest cancer patients
The “Mass General Marathon Team, Fighting Kids Cancer … One Step at a Time”, began in 1998 when 10 runners raised $45,000 to support the pediatric cancer program at MGHfC. Since then, with the partnership of John Hancock Financial, the Mass General Marathon Team has raised over $10 million to support these pediatric programs.

Please make a gift in support of me today to help thank the people at MGH and aid them in their search for new treatments and cures.
If you would like for me to run in honor or memory of someone that is or has battled cancer, please email me their names at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will make every effort to carry all of these names with me during the marathon in April.
Thank you for your support,
