EVENT DATE: Nov 03, 2016
Dear Friends and Family,
I have some exciting news. I have just joined the board of Impact360 (www.impact-360.org), an intensive youth-development program, providing historically underserved students from Denver's public schools with comprehensive, year-round access to essential support (Academic, Health and Wellness, and Life Skills) that helps them through middle and high school and, ultimately, into a post-secondary institution of their choice. Each Impact360 student chooses to participates in 450 hours of annual support activities with Impact360 (3000+ hours over seven consecutive years) to ensure that he/she has a post-secondary option, and I have witnessed first-hand how successful Impact360 is in its work. Two cohorts have graduated, the Class of 2015 and the Class of 2016. Students in these two cohorts started with Imapct360 back in 2008 and 2009, respectively. 100% graduated from high school and were accepted into post-secondary institutions. 90% matriculated into a post-secondary option and remain. Each is the first in his or her family to attend a post-secondary institution and for many, the first to graduate from high school.
I am participating in our Anschutz-Hunt Challenge Cup, our annual squash and fundraising competition. I am on Team Massive and we are working to raise over $20,000. I believe that my friends and I can raise $4,000. Know that your support will be used carefully and will help change a life.
