BENEFITING: AFRICAN BIRTH COLLECTIVE
Women in Senegal, West Africa have a 1 in 22 chance of dying in childbirth. 70% of rural women give birth at home, with only 52% attended by a skilled practitioner. You can do something to help.
Traditional midwives in the village of Kabar have asked the African Birth Collective to build them a Maternity Clinic. Currently, these women of this village give birth in the yard behind their homes, where they are at high risk for infection. Help us create a safe and clean place for women to have their babies, and for these special midwives to practice and teach their knowledge. You can help save the life of a child or mother. Please give.
