Update on Matt - FROM Matt
October 22, 2016
Matt recently (September 8th) got into an accident, while riding his motor cycle home on a dark road. A deer or comparably large animal stepped out on the road and Matt swirved to avoid hitting it and his bike skid out from under him. Luckily, a car behind him saw the incident and was able to stop, render comfort and call 911. When the paramedics arrived, he was awake and told them what happened before he passed out. But, when he awoke in the hospital, he had lost all memory of the accident. He has spent 14 days in the hospital, 4 of those in ICU. He suffered a broken clavical, 6 broken ribs and a collapsed lung. They have had to drain several pints of blood from his lung, over his hospital stay. Matt is home now, resting. He has used up all of his sick leave pay at work and is being told that he will not be able to return to work, as a pilot, for at least 3 months.
In the past, Matt has always been the one to offer prayers and support to everyone in need. Earlier this year, when a fellow pilot fell suddenly and seriously ill, he flew to be by his side in the hospital and led in prayer with the family for Devine healing. He has a strong belief in, where 3 or more come together in prayer, requests are answered. Ater a rough road, his firend is on the long path to recovery.
I ask that you please remember Matt in your prayers for a quick and safe recovery, and if you are able, help Matt to pay for his hospital and home expenses, for the next couple months, by donating what ever amount of money you can. Matt has proven to be a good man of good character, support, faith and friendship to so many. I hope we can show him our love and support in this time of need.
