Mattel Children Hospital Fundraising Concert
Organized by: Lorene Boisvert
EVENT DATE Sep 07, 2014
We are Project Avanti, a musical trio who have been closely touched by childhood and young adult cancer. One of us has a child at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, undergoing treatment for leukemia. Diagnosed at age 2 as a high risk for pre-B cells acute lymphoblastic leukemia, he underwent aggressive chemotherapy treatments. This was our inspiration to act. Our mission is raising funds for research in cancer affecting children. You, too, can help children everywhere who are fighting cancer.
We are organizing a concert Sunday, September 7th, at 3pm. It will be held at Tamkin Auditorium at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. The money raised following the concert will be collected by UCLA Mattel research department. These funds will contribute to the advancement of stem cell and gene therapies.
Our family-friendly program will honor kids currently in treatment. By participating online the entrance to the concert will be free. Please participate, and spread the word. We need your help to reach our goals!
Please visit our website www.projectavanti.com to learn more. Your generosity can make a difference. Together, we will move cancer research forward. This is the vision of Project Avanti!
