EVENT DATE: MAY 24, 2014 - MAY 25, 2014
In 2013 Matthew Ostrowski participated in his first Angel Ride. After the ride last year, he knew he would participate again in 2014. This year, Matt has created “Team Extra Virgin…. Pour it on”, a team that is sponsored by O’Live A Little Specialty Gourmet, the Company he owns with his wife Jennifer. Along with the money each individual rider on the team will raise, during the month of May, O’Live A Little Specialty Gourmet will donate $1.00 for each bottle of olive oil and balsamic vinegar that is sold from its two stores…at the Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk in South Windsor, CT and The Shops at Farmington Valley in Canton, CT (opening May 2014!).
Growing up, Matt along with his 3 brothers, Mark, John & Luke, went to Camp Turner each summer for two weeks. The camp, which was located in New York State, was one of the highlights of summer for him. With fond memories, he believes all children should be able to have and enjoy the “camp” experience to create lasting memories and friendships.
Join our Team of “FOODIES” for an experience that will have you coming back next year for sure! All “Team Extra Virgin….. Pour it on”, riders will get a team jersey and we will all enjoy a delicious party Sunday after the ride… including plenty of delicious food, with olive oil, of course!!!
AngelRide is one of New England’s premier charity bicycle rides; providing riders, volunteers, sponsors and donors with a two-day experience unlike any other. From the athletic challenge of the 135-mile ride, to the camaraderie of the riders and volunteers, to the direct impact on the lives of children with serious illnesses, it’s easy to see why AngelRide has become a Memorial Day weekend tradition for so many.
100% of rider and volunteer fundraising supports The Hole in the Wall Gang's Hospital Outreach Program: bringing the hopeful, playful spirit of The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp to children and families in the hospital setting.
By registering for AngelRide 2014, you will join a community of ordinary people doing extraordinary things. Whether you decide to ride, be a virtual rider, volunteer, make a donation (sponsor a participant) or become an event sponsor, your efforts make a real difference in the lives of children battling a serious illness who deserve a break.
Two-day and multiple one-day ride options are available. Join the Team now and secure your spot in this inspirational event!
