BENEFITING: Fairmount Park Conservancy
Please help me to raise funds for the Fairmount Park Conservancy, the non-profit champion for Philadelphia’s park system. Your donation will support the restoration and improvement of the historic Belmont Plateau trails in West Fairmount Park.
The Fairmount Park Conservancy works as a collaborative partner to lead and support efforts which preserve and improve the Fairmount Park system in order to enhance the quality of life and stimulate economic development of the Greater Philadelphia Region through capital projects, neighborhood park stewardship and programs.
The Fairmount Park Conservancy spearheads signature capital projects throughout Fairmount Park. Building on the success of the relighting of boathouse row and the restoration of the Water Works South Garden and Cliffside, our work is currently includes the Hunting Park Revitalization Project, Penn Treaty Park and the Centennial District of West Fairmount Park.
Neighborhood Park Stewardship
There are over 100 neighborhood parks throughout Philadelphia, and among the neighborhood parks there is a network of volunteer Park Friend Groups that serve as community liaisons and park stewards. The Fairmount Park Conservancy and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation work collaboratively to support the network of neighborhood parks and the people who care for them. Together we are maintaining and transforming neighborhood green spaces into community assets; helping to move work forward and support the Park Friend Groups' efforts as community stewards and park champions.
The Fairmount Park Conservancy helps develop relevant and innovative programs that amplify the impact and sustain the positive change of our capital projects. New programs also help the Conservancy continue to build our constituency base and connect us with more park lovers and users.
