As some of you may know, I am a mentor to a New York City high school student through iMentor. iMentor builds mentoring relationships that empower students from low-income communities to graduate high school, succeed in college, and achieve their ambitions.
I’ve had the great opportunity to be matched with Tylor Fields for the past 3 years. Tylor just finished his junior year at the Academy for Software Engineering in lower Manhattan who enjoys sports, music, and spending time with his friends and family. It has been amazing getting to know him over the past few years; I am extremely proud of how much he has grown as a student and as an individual and am also proud to call myself a mentor in this awesome program!
I have decided to fundraise on behalf of iMentor by participating in the 2015 Hamptons Half Marathon. Help iMentor by supporting my page today and helping me reach my goal of $500. Every contribution will help support more mentor-mentee pairs like Tylor and me.
