GREETINGS!
Words cannot describe the experience I had preparing and running the 119th Boston marathon! Perhaps... "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way..." Charles Dickens.
In other words...WHAT A DAY TO RUN A MARATHON! WOW WEEE!
I can NOT thank you all enough for your support and faith in my training and helping me raise over $9440 for Spaulding Rehab Hospital. I feel so strongly in providing great care for all and this "cause" means so much to me.
This was for our patients, our staff for all of you, for my family and yes, a bit for me as well.

The Boston Marathon is a goal for some, a dream for many, an accomplishment for all who cross that line. Monday, it felt more like a fitting end to a tough and mentally challenging (on many levels) training season. We were soaked before we started, freezing from the wet and winds...but somehow, I was smiling ear to ear in almost every picture. I stopped and hugged everyone I knew along the way, took photos, chatted and then moved along. I took in everything going on around me. I listened to my music some of the time, the crowd ALL of the time. I cheered on the fans and volunteers for coming out. I cheered on other runners doing the best they could with the hand we were dealt.
There is nothing like running Boston. People ask, how did you do? I have to smile and say "I had fun."... and I truly did. My time was not what I had hoped for, but my body was able to take me more than 26 miles that day with no subsequent issues. I learned a lot about myself and my peers. I made friends on a team full of wonderful people and I am sad to say it is over.

I want to sincerely thank you for your donations, and your support. I hope you have a smile in YOUR heart, knowing you have changed people's lives with your donation. Thank you!
With Fondness and deep respect for Mother Nature, I bid adieu (until next year! ha!)

I was not able to send a photo with this thank you, but hope to send some along as they come rolling in, if you would like!

Thank you AGAIN for all of your support through this crazy winter training! We have less than a week to go and fingers are crossed for a mild shady day!
