An affiliate of Beach Activities of Maui, Ka’anapali Surf Club (KSC) has introduced surfing to thousands of Maui visitors and Hawaii residents. Conveniently located at six resort properties along West Maui’s signature Ka’anapali Beach, Ka’anapali Surf Club offers surf, kayak, stand up paddle (SUP) lessons and rentals. Ka’anapali Surf Club offers 90-minute private and group lessons daily including holidays, which include a certified instructor, boards or kayaks, instruction on water safety, rash guards and protective water shoes. Professional photography services are available for guests seeking to capture their Maui vacation memories. All instructors are First Aid and CPR certified as well as respected watermen. Presented by Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa and The Butterfly Effect, Maui Paddle for a Cure is a non-competitive, fun paddle to raise funds for Susan G. Komen, Hawaii Affiliate, supporting their efforts in aiding prevention, screening and treatment of breast cancer in Hawaii.
To bring awareness of the disease, and raise funds for local organizations that treat and screen for breast cancer in Hawaii.
PADDLE from Hanakao'o (Canoe Beach) to Black Rock and back! Choose between 3 different courses:
- Beginner - SUP clinic and guided paddle. SUP Clinic will be hosted by professional water athletes, along with founder and creator of The Butterfly Effect, Tatiana Howard. The clinic will go over the basics of paddling and concluded with an optional guided half mile paddle. Clinic limited to 20 participants.
- Intermediate - 2 mile paddle to Black Rock and back.
- Advanced – 4 mile course to Westin KOR and back for experienced paddlers and canoe paddlers.

Hanakao'o Beach Park (Canoe Beach) is located at the South end of Ka’anapali, next to Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa.
Please utilize the Hanakao'o Beach Park provided parking lot. Overflow parking is invited to park at the Hyatt Regency Maui (fee applies).

WHAT TO BRING
Boards are NOT included in registration. Please bring swim attire, sunscreen, and your own SUP board or kayak. PleSUP boards are NOT included in registration. Please bring swim attire, sunscreen, and your own SUP board, canoe or kayak. SUP Boards will be available to use with a $15 donation to Susan G. Komen. SUP Boards will be provided by Ka’anapali Surf Club and 808 Boards. Please arrive early to use beach rental boards. All participants MUST wear a leash during the paddle and it is highly recommended to wear or have a personal floatation device on water craft. Light refreshments and water will be provided at Hanakao’o Beach. Food and beverage will also be provided beginning at 11am at the After Party at Sunset Terrace.
WHAT YOUR PARTICIPATION MEANS
Yoou will be able to u are helping to achieve a world without breast cancer. Your donations will support the Susan G. Komen Hawaii’s mission to provide local community grants, helping people in our community access education, screening and treatment. Your funds also support life-saving research initiatives that will enable scientists to discover the cures for breast cancer. Together, we will end breast cancer forever.
HOW TO REGISTER
You will be able to choose your team, vessel, and course when you click on the REGISTER button. Must be 18 years or older to participate.
1. Choose to register as an individual, create a team, or join an existing team. Please note if you are creating a new team, you are responsible for the registration fee of the team at the time of registration. Each team member will also have to register by selecting “Join existing team” and searching the team name.
2. Choose your shirt size. Complimentary pink event rash guards will be provided to the first 200 registrants! Sign up early!
3. Choose your course or the SUP Clinic - SUP clinic for beginners (includes an optional guided half mile paddle) - 2.0 mile to Black Rock and Back - 4.0 mile to Westin KOR and back
4. Choose your vessel - SUP (Stand Up Paddle Board) - Kayak - OC-1 (One-man Outrigger Canoe) - OC-2 (Two-man Outrigger Canoe) - Six-man Outrigger Canoe
5. Start a fundraiser (optional) - Spread the word and encourage your friends and family to donate to this great cause! You can set up an individual fundraiser, join an existing fundraising team, or donate to an existing individual or team!
