BENEFITING: The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp
EVENT: Team HITW NYC Marathon 2015
EVENT DATE: Nov 01, 2015
I have decided to run my very first marathon this year and thought it would be an ideal opportunity to raise money for a good cause. So I am participating in the New York City Marathon on November 1, 2015 to support The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.
Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is dedicated to providing “a different kind of healing” to seriously ill children and their families throughout the Northeast free of charge. The Camp helps children battling serious illnesses to fight isolation and fear with fun, friendship and joy and gives them the chance to experience the world of possibilities that camp has to offer. It’s a community that celebrates the spirit of childhood where every kid can “raise a little hell.”
In 2015, through Camp programs, year-round outreach to hospitals and clinics and ongoing services, the Camp will serve more than 30,000 children and families, including those who may not be able to come to Camp, thanks to the generosity of friends like you.
Childhood should be a time full of hope, joy and endless possibility! Please help The Hole in the Wall Gang in their continuing mission of providing sick children an opportunity to just be kids.
Please join me in supporting this important mission. My goal is to raise $3,000 by race day. A donation in any amount is greatly appreciated (and tax deductible).
Many thanks for your support and encouragement!
