Maurice "REESE" Jackson Memorial Park Fund
Organized by: Jeffery Jackson
EVENT DATE Sep 15, 2016
Mayor Ralm Emanuel and The Office of The Cook County Clerk in Chicago has place an unfair delinquent tax on "Maurice REESE Jackson" Memorial Park at 6433 S. Wolcott Ave. totaling $15,922.29 only to seize the park to satisfy their Englewood Investors.
Alderman Lopez of the 15 Ward suggest we pay this unfair tax ($15,922.29) before the Redemtion time expires on December 14, 2016 or seek the assistance of a tax lawyer whice will cost more money and fees.
I believe this is just another attempt by the City to do some land grabbing for their thirsty investors. Maurice Jackson was a family man, a business man, Mama Hinton's favorite grandson, and friend to many.
His life was cut short at the young age of 31 while giving his life to JR Construction a small family business that he established. His hope was to give young black neighborhood youth an oppertunity to learn a trade and develop a skill. This City needs more young men like "Maurice".
Help us fight City Hall and save Maurice Memorial Park. Let's keep his memory alive. Let's keep his park in Englewood. Let's fight this cause together.
What ever you give will be greaty appreciated to help save Maurice Park.
