#2 If you have hit your fundraising minimum and have not received your reimbursement please email me a copy of your entry fee receipt that you got when registering for the race. Email it to info@train4autism.org

#3 If you are interested in writing a story about your SF experience with T4A please submit to Molly at mollyrearick@train4autism.org by Monday 08/08/2011 and be sure to include any pics you may have.

Hello everyone! I wanted to …
Hello everyone! I wanted to say great job to everyone. We are getting close to the big day. I hope everyone has been training and tapering and preparing for a great time. I wanted to pass along some important information regarding the race, Train 4 Autism, Fundraising and Fee Reimbursements.

1st off Train 4 Autism will be having a booth at the PRE/POST RACE TENT area which is at the Marathon/ 1st Half Start Line. If you have not received your T4A Tech Tee we will have some at this booth. It is going to be manned by volunteer/ parents Shelly Overton and Jeanine Gaston. Stop by and say hello and snap a photo!!

2nd- There are many of you guys that are hitting your fundraising minimums and we have been issuing your race entry fee reimbursements. This is awesome. If you have hit your minimum please send me an email so I can process your reimbursement. I will need you to email a copy of your race entry fee receipt which has the amount you paid and your mailing address. Without this I am unable to process your reimbursement because we need to know how much to reimburse and where to send it. NOTE: Our volunteers at the PRE/POST race booth WILL NOT be able to assist any reimbursements on site- so please email me at info@train4autism.org, Rest assured that everyone who is owed a reimbursement will be issued one asap, ideally would be before race day but due to the time issue it may arrive a day or 2 after depending on when you hit your minimum and email your info.

3rd- ENJOY YOUR RACE!! We will have some volunteer along the course and at the finish! Enjoy, relax and smile!

Thanks for all your hard work and determination!!

Hi guys!! The big day is quickly approaching!! Many of you are reaching your fundraising minimums which is awesome!! PLEASE REMEMBER to email me at info@train4autism.org when you reach your minimum of $300.00 so that I can process your reimbursement- REMEMBER to include a copy of your race entry receipt which includes the amount that you paid for your registration. I know it's getting close but don't worry- those that hit their goal will receive their reimbursement although if it is in the next few days it may not arrive by mail at your house until after the event.

Good job everyone! I just wanted to share some fundraising ideas for everyone that might help you guys meet your goals. Also if you haven't sent me your size and shipping address please do so soon so I can get you your Train 4 Autism Running Technical tee for the race!!

1. Make a personal connection between your nonprofit and your potential donors. People will give more readily when they feel an emotional impact from their donation and understand what good their donation is making in the lives of others. Include pictures from your nonprofit on your fundraising website. Tug those heart strings!

2. Start by sponsoring yourself with even a modest donation. If donors go to your fundraising site and see a zero balance, they may be hesitant to be the first one.

3. If you regulary frequent a local business (i.e. dry cleaner, hair salon, dentist, etc.), ask them to make a donation.

I will send more ideas in the near future! Good luck and train safely out there!!
