OUR MISSION: The McKenzie River Trust protects and cares for special lands and the rivers that flow through them in western Oregon.
As your local land conservation group, we work to protect fish and wildlife habitat and clean drinking water. The McKenzie River Trust was founded in 1989 and we have since expanded our efforts beyond the McKenzie River and now also work to protect lands in our other surrounding watersheds including the Middle Fork, Coast Fork and main stem of the Willamette, the Umpqua, Long Tom, Siuslaw River and coastal rivers and estuaries.
As a local nonprofit, we rely on support from individuals in the communities we serve to help provide the critical funding we need. Currently we protect over 3,300 acres of land in western Oregon. We owe our local land conservation successes to the generosity and commitment of supporters like you. Thank you for investing in land conservation in western Oregon!
