LaTanya is one of more than 60 breast cancer survivors who are thriving because McLaren Oakland Foundation the Sister and Sister Free Mammogram Program. African American and Hispanic women, as well as women who are uninsured or underinsured are more often diagnosed with late-stage breast cancer when treatment options are limited, costly and prognosis is poor.
The Sister and Sister Free Mammorgram Program works to combat this trend and save lives in the process by promoting breast cancer awareness and by providing free mammogram screenings to those in need, but we need your help!
The Sister and Sister Free Mammogram Program is led by the McLaren Oakland Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization , which was formed in 2004 to ensure that everyone regardless of age, race, sex or financial status has access to state-of-the-art health care services. The McLaren Oakland Foundation proudly supports McLaren Oakland, which has provided almost $20 million in uncompensated medical care for those in need.
