Last year I had the privilege of racing with the great Curtis Ward at the Marine Corps Marathon supporting the Kyle Pease Foundation. The purpose of the Kyle Pease Foundation (KPF) is to create awareness and raise funds to promote success for persons with disabilities by providing assistance to meet their individual needs through sports. It's a fantastic experience for everyone involved and I am excited to be back at MCM this October 30th.
Even better.....this year my awesome wife, Meredith, and I will race as a team with Sherry Adams for Sherry's first Marine Corps Marathon! We're excited and proud to be teamed with Sherry and to support the Kyle Pease Foundation and all the great things that Kyle and Brent are doing.
Here's where you come in..... these events cost real money to coordinate and make happen for these athletes! The costs are funded by donations to the Kyle Pease Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We sincerely appreciate your help with financial donations to support our team and the Kyle Pease Foundation. We're raising $5,000 for our team, so any amount that you could give towards our goal will be put to good use to make this event happen..... and, of course, it's tax deductible for you! THANK YOU!
Meredith and I are paying our own travel, hotel, etc. expenses for the race -- all of your donations will go directly to support KPF!
More on KPF:
The Kyle Pease Foundation provides programs that include scholarship opportunities, purchasing of medical equipment or adaptive sports equipment for others or contributing to other organizations that provide similar assistance to disabled persons as well as participating in educational campaigns to create awareness about Cerebral Palsy and other disabilities. KPF will provide these services directly to individuals as well as to partner with other existing non-profit organizations to achieve these goals. Direct benefits will be limited to persons with disabilities who need adaptive sports equipment, mobility devices or medical care. You can learn more about the foundation and our race at Marine Corps here: http://www.kylepeasefoundation.org/new-events/2016/3/8/marine The Ability Experience is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The Ability Experience mission is, “Building leaders of tomorrow by serving people with disabilities today,” which has been fulfilled for more than 35 years. Although lives have been changed, AE's vision to “Change the way society views both people with disabilities and fraternities” remains unchanged. With your support, other individuals will get to participate in road races. Every dollar helps and is 100% tax-deductible! Help us and so many more reach finish lines all over! #wheretheresawheeltheresaway
